Stubby Buddy Parts and Finishes

We here at Stubby Buddy know that choosing the right cage can be daunting, especially with so many options to choose from. This guide will provide you with the necessary information to pick the right Buddy. Do not forget all Stubby Buddy cages and rings are interchangeable so you can always upgrade or change your Stubby Buddy later. *note parts are not interchangeable between Stubby Buddy and Chubby Buddy, if you have a Stubby Buddy ring but want a bigger Chubby Buddy cage you would have to purchase a new Chubby Buddy ring.

Stubby Buddy Cages explained:

All Stubby Buddy cages currently only come in one size, but there is 4 different cage styles to choose from

Stub - The first cage design, made for long-term wear. While restrictive, it still allows for some room to grow. This cage features open sides to make repositioning and cleaning a breeze.

Enclosed - This one shares the same dimensions as the Stub but seals the side openings in the cage for further restriction, providing a solid but still breathable anti-touch barrier.

Button - The next size down this cage is for smaller individuals and those looking for a more… flattening effect. The button cage is not recommended for long-term wear

Null
- If small isn't enough, then try going Null! Our take on the inverted cage is smooth, practical and as customizable as all our other cages. This cage is NOT recommended for long-term wear or beginners and should only be used by those with prior experience with inverted cages.

We highly recommend the Stub for first time users or those looking for the best long term cage but many of our users are happy to lock up for extended time in our other cages.

Stubby Buddy Rings explained:

We have spent many hours obsessing over ring shape and size so you can have the perfect fit. We currently have two main ring shapes to choose from.

Slim v. Wide

Slim - These rings are most akin to most ring shapes in the market, with an oval shape tapering to a rounded V at the bottom. The “default” ring shape, if you must.

Wide
– Unlike the Slim style, these rings feature an enlarged lower half rather than a rounded V, creating a more rounded-square shape. This is most suitable for users with larger pubic proportions and those who’d typically suffer from skin pinching, heavy chafing, scrotal over-stretching or “ball burn” in the lower portion of the ring.

Standard v. Low Profile

Standard Splitter
- This is the standard depth and cage gap splitter. Comfortable for just about everyone this is far from a restrictive splitter design but still retains the benefits of the splitter for day-to-day use.

Low Profile Splitter - This splitter is considerably smaller and lowers the height between the cage and the ring for a tighter and more secure hold on the balls. It allows for a snugger fit and a less prominent bulge.

Ring size refers to the internal diameter of the ring and is a relatively standard way to sizing the base ring for chastity cages. See our sizing guide for more details on how to choose the right ring size.

Stubby Buddy Attachments:

Magnetic Contact pads (Set of 3) – 3-D printed contact pads fit directly into one of the holes in our Stub and Enclosed cages. They sit between the cage and skin and magnetically latch in place. They come in 2 spiked variants (large and small) for play scenarios involving pain and a flat variant that will transfer vibration from a wand toy directly to the penis

Hinge Badge - Hinge Badges come in a variety of different text and graphics. They mechanically fit into the place where the ball splitter connects to the cage. Badges offer interesting pre-made or custom text to display at the front of your cage and add some extra protection to the connection point where they fit.

Extension Collar
-The extension collar is a lockable piece you can place between your cage and base ring to extend the overall length of the cage. Extension collars can be stacked up to 3 times for sizeable cage length gains. Each extension collar will require an additional locking core (sold separately) NOTE: extension collars ordered together with a cage will be dyed the same colour as the cage by default.

Keyless Lock
- The Keyless Lock is a two-piece lock for use in the act of "perma-locking" in which a user locks without access to keys or a way to unlock short of breaking out. The keyless lock uses a small dab of glue on the tip of the inner piece to seal the two pieces together once fully inserted. Removal is accomplished by cutting the keyless lock in two with a pair of wire snips, there is a small cut line on the underside of the lock to indicate where to cut, once it is cut the remaining pieces will either fall out or if they get stuck you can use tweezers to pull them out. Please exercise caution when using this attachment as it is not to be undertaken lightly. Keyless locks are sold in packs of four and all contain unique serial numbers for additional security.

Fitting spoon - The fitting spoon is a simple tool that can be used while wearing your stubby buddy to stop skin from pinching in the lock core. It also features a little wedge that aids in badge removal and in separating the cage from the base sing. A fitting spoon is included for free on every order with badges, or upon request in the notes section upon checkout.

Nylon SLS print Post-processing:

Nylon SLS print start out as rougher raw sls 3d prints. We offer both a our epoxy coating option and a more cost effective tumble smoothed option in order to smooth out this texture and create a comfortable surface finish for long term wear. If you have purchased a raw sls print we suggest you follow our post processing guide to improve the surface finish of the parts in one of many methods.

Nylon SLS Epoxy Coating:

Epoxy coating is a unique option we offer to further personalize your Stubby Buddy. Coat your part(s) in epoxy to make them very smooth to touch, easier to clean and more eye-catching with the addition of Mica powders or opaque liquid dyes. Please note that the final appearance of your parts will largely depend on how the powder interacts with the base colour.

Standard Mica Powder: These are basic colours and have the widest range of options. Mica powders will add colourful sparkles on top of your parts’ base colour, that will change the general appearance of your parts.

ColourShift Mica: These have the same results as the standard mica powders, with the big difference being that they have 2+ visible colours, depending on how light is reflected off’ the part you are holding.
